Assistant Restaurant Managers at Sun Valley Resort oversee and coordinate all aspects of the dining room according to Sun Valley Company standards to ensure a pleasurable dining experience for our guests. Locations include the Sun Valley Lodge, Village Station, and Bald Mountain's iconic Roundhouse Restaurant.
Assistant Restaurant Manager Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Train and manage staff.
- Schedule staff according to reservations and hotel occupancy.
- Track daily labor using Kronos.
- Train staff with the proper technique of Sun Valley Resort Service Standards.
- Possess an extensive knowledge of wines and how to best serve them, including knowledge of appropriate pairings.

The Setup Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with the overall operations of the Banquet Setups department. This role will help oversee the setup of all contracted events on Sun Valley property. The goal is to provide 100% guest satisfaction with banquet events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily banquets and catering setup operations per established policies and procedures.
- Oversee and assist with setting up and breaking down all events following planning worksheets, timelines, and checklists.
- Oversee all aspects of event setup as required, including but not limited to customer service, table settings & chairs, and linens, and ensure proper inventory and supplies as necessary to support catering and convention business.

The Bellperson is the guests’ first impression of the Sun Valley Lodge. We are looking for an energetic, outgoing personality who will make that connection with our guests.

- Upon arrival, greet and assist guests by helping unload luggage from a vehicle and transporting it to their room, personally carrying the bags, or using a luggage cart.
- Upon departure, assist guests by transporting luggage from the room to the lobby and helping them load bags into the vehicle.

Sun Valley Resort seeks an Environmental Waste Specialist to help take our sustainability waste diversion program to the next level. This role is the backbone and driving force behind the recovery and circularity program. The Environmental Waste Specialist will ensure maximum landfill diversion throughout the resort. This position will work with the Sustainability Manager and be part of the grounds and operations team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for handling, sorting, and transporting large quantities of recyclable and compostable materials across the resort to staging areas and occasionally to Winn’s Composting and Ohio Gulch Recycling Facility.
- Coordinate timely recycling and food waste pickups with appropriate staff.
- Maintain daily organization of recycling centers.
- Assist the Sustainability Manager in managing the recycling centers around the resort.
- Work with the Sustainability Manager to train seasonal and year-round staff on waste diversion.
- Repair, maintain, and clean recycling receptacles throughout the year.

As a Laundry Driver, you are responsible for all standards and procedures connected with the hotel’s laundry vehicles. Therefore, you will be an image of professionalism and follow strict rules and regulations while driving/handling the hotel vehicles. In addition, you must assist the laundry team with all related laundry attendant tasks.

- Transport laundry to/from assigned destinations using a property vehicle.

During your internship, you will rotate throughout the following positions to gain a complete knowledge of our front-of-house operations, which include multiple outlets.
